Hello World!

I've been planning to blog for a while now, just to keep the world updated on my exploits, generally within guiding. Now seems as good a time as any to start, for two very exciting reasons:
1) I've been selected to help mentor a guide who is helping to run YELL (Youth Event Live and Love, yes cheesy name, well done GGUK!) camp this summer, and tomorrow I'm off to London to find out a bit more about what I'm doing and:
2) Even more exciting: I've been chosen to go to Sangam this autumn, 29th August to 16th  December, which I literally cannot wait for!!

In my general life (you never know, maybe a bit of introduction might be nice!) I'm a student, heavily involved in my SSAGO unit at unit (I've just left the executive committee, and that's only because I'm in my final year and can't be on it any more!!), and I also help run a Rainbow unit each week. Before I head off to India in August, I've got an action packed summer, what with YELL, and Charnwood and attempting to fit in my exploration for my Queen's Guide award! Crazy busy!

Anyway, I'll be back on Monday or so, hopefully with a bit more information on quite what this YELL thing has in store for me and the guides! I'm a little busy with my dissertation currently, so posts won't be regular just yet, but when I head off to India I'll definitely be keeping it updated for all my friends and family, who obviously want to hear about me me me :P
